Tell Speaker Tim Jones that so-called 'right to work' legislation is wrong for Missouri! These proposals aren't about jobs -- they're all about politics, and undermining the basic rights of workers.
Extremist groups like Americans for Prosperity and the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), right-wing politicians and their corporate backers want to weaken the power of workers and weaken Missouri's middle class with so-called 'right to work' laws that will mean lower wages and living standards for all workers in Missouri. In fact, workers in states with these laws earn an average of $5,680 less a year than workers in other states. Because of the higher wages, working families in states without so-called 'right to work' laws also benefit from healthier tax bases that improve their quality of life.
The extremist politicians and their backers will stop at nothing to try and push their agenda -- an agenda that hurts Missouri’s middle class -- but concerned Missourians are standing together to stop their attacks. And it’s going to take all of us coming together to win this fight.
SIGN THE PETITION:
So-called “right to work” legislation does nothing to create good jobs or an economy that works for all Missourians. Instead, these laws hurt our middle class, and mean lower wages, fewer benefits, lower living standards and less job security across the board. I stand with Missouri working families and demand that you stop these legislative attacks.
